Microsoft has a new (perhaps the first) commercial for XBox 360 (via Alex Barnett). I like it.
Update (11/8): On the same topic, here’s Sony’s new ad for the PSP. Interesting how neither ad features a specific game or shows any product feature.

I actually got to test 360 last week at the Mellon Financial Technical Expo. Yes, I know it is weird that they demonstrated the XBOX at a Fortune 500 financial services firm. Anyway, although I think that the architecture is powerful, the game that I tested did not show any fundamental leap with respect to graphics/quality/etc. That being said, they had better be careful not to hype things to much before developers create a series of games that effectively leverage their multicore architecture. Cheers.
I totally agree with SP. I saw the ad at a movie this past weekend (that’s one strike against it right there) and as a father, my first thought was “what a great thing it would be to see my kids outside having fun like that!!” Then they flashed Xbox and I thought “huh?”
I heard the XBox 360 is not backwords compatible. Is there a site that shows PS3 and XBOX 360 features side by side and gives an honest comparison?

Image ads are more popular during a good economy. When things go south the ads go back to showing product benefits.
Something to say?
I like it too - though isn’t there a (perhaps unintended ) message that it is far more fun to actually get out of the house and do something than it is to sit on a sofa all day pretending to kill ninjas or whatever?
